Mike Botton

Design is my passion, drawing is my relaxation. Those interests developed through the 70’s out of  studying Architecture in Sydney and Paris, then interior design in Cardiff, Wales. In the 80’s I applied my design skills to public housing first with the Woolloomooloo Project Team, then in private practice. In 1995 I established the design and manufacturing company botton + gardiner urban furniture and focussed on quality, locally made furniture for public environments. The sale of that business in 2013 gave me the freedom to pursue my interest in design and location sketching through travel. In 2016 I established the tour company, Palladian Odyssey. Together with artist Liz Steel, we focussed on revealing the world of Andrea Palladio and Renaissance Italy through daily sketching workshops in some of the most stunning but lesser frequented locations in Italy.
